NTLP Educational & Psychological Assessment Scheme 2011

North Tipperary LEADER Partnership (NTLP) under its Local Community Development Programme has identified a gap in service provision pertaining to the long delays children experience in awaiting psychological assessments. This difficulty is more acute among families who cannot afford to fast-track assessments by paying for them privately.
NTLP is pleased to announce that a modest fund has been reserved to administer a pilot scheme to provide additional psychological assessments to first year only students from the LCDP target group of marginalised families particularly those who experience long term unemployment and low levels of educational attainment. This pilot is open to all secondary schools in North Tipperary.
Our scheme allows all participating secondary schools to commission one assessment per thirty eight first year students in the 2011/2012 academic year. NTLP will directly contract psychologists from NEPS and SCPA 2011/2012 Panel of Psychologists

Business Startup Support Scheme 2011

Small funding to jobseekers setting up a local service business - 90% funding up to €1750
(Closing Date November 25th 2011)
The Business Startup Support Scheme aimed at Jobseekers ineligible for other supports who are seeking to set up in business in North Tipperary.
The scheme is designed to support candidates who are:
- long term unemployed
- eligible for Back to Work Enterprise Allowance
- setting up a business in local services
- Not qualifying for mainstream supports
- Businesses must be based in North Tipperary
