In 2010, NTLP supported an action research project in conjunction with University College Cork exploring the suitability of a timebank to promote volunteering in North Tipperary. This is an excerpted version of the research.

Business Startup Support Scheme 2011 Application

The Business Startup Support Scheme aimed at Jobseekers ineligible for other supports who are seeking to set up in business in North Tipperary.

The scheme is designed to support candidates who are:
-    long term unemployed
-    eligible for Back to Work Enterprise Allowance
-    setting up a business in local services
-    Not qualifying for mainstream supports
-    Businesses must be based in North Tipperary

Drombane/Upperchurch Community Energy Officer Job Descripiton

Drombane is a small rural community near Thurles in North Tipperary with a population of 1200 people.Since early 2010, a number of community planning discussions were held and facilitated by the North Tipperary Leadership Programme. With advice from Tipperary Energy Agency, the group decided to focus on energy conservation and efficieny. In 2011 the Drombane/Upperchurch Energy Project was established. Setting up the energy office and taking on a Community Energy Officer will play a key role in achieving the recommendations of the survey report.

TUS Programme - Community Groups Application form
